MyBloodHealth Release Notes
Outline
January 2026 Release
This release delivers changes to the HerCare module, the Config tab, and the Surgical worklist.
HerCare Updates
This release introduces flags for transfusion risk, gestational diabetes mellitus, gestational hypertension, and weight-related concerns to help clinicians guide treatment planning with evidence-based recommendations.
- HerCare patients show transfusion risk level. The automated Transfusion Risk Score is calculated based on patient lab values and clinical indicators. The transfusion risk level flag of low, medium, high, or very high helps to identify women at higher risk of needing transfusions before surgery or during pregnancy, enabling earlier intervention and better maternal outcomes.
- The gestational diabetes flag appears on HerCare patients who have positive glucose test results. A yellow flag shows that the screening test was positive, and more testing is recommended. A red flag shows that the diagnostic test results are positive.
- The gestational hypertension flag appears on HerCare patients who meet the established blood pressure criteria. The criteria are a new onset of systolic blood pressure of 140 mm Hg or more or diastolic blood pressure of 90 mm Hg or more on two separate readings at least 4 hours apart after 20 weeks of gestation.
- Underweight, overweight, and obese flags appear on HerCare patients who meet established BMI ranges. Underweight is less than 18.5 BMI, overweight is a BMI between 25 and 29.9, and obese is equal to or greater than 30 BMI.
Other Improvements
- Program administrators can set thresholds for lab completion rate and patient completion rate from the Config tab. These thresholds establish the goals for display on the Program Performance dashboard. Rates that are below the saved threshold display as red on the Program Performance dashboard, and rates that are equal to or more than the saved threshold display as green. To change the thresholds, open the Config tab, enter the goal number for lab completions in the Lab Completion Rate Threshold box and the goal number for patient completions in the Patient Completion Rate Threshold box. Then click the Save button in the top right corner.
- Patients who are admitted to the hospital are removed from the Surgical worklist for review automatically. To prevent duplicated patient reviews between admitted inpatient workflows and the Surgical worklist, MyBloodHealth now updates the Surgical worklist when the patient admission status changes. The inpatient flag also appears on the patient, visit, and worklist record.
November 2025 Release
We’ve redesigned the Program Performance dashboard’s Executive KPI Tracker so that you can quickly assess whether your program is meeting its treatment and financial goals. We’ve also added the option for administrators to turn off patient assignment email notifications for users who do not need them.
Program Performance Dashboard Changes
The improved Executive KPI Tracker makes it easy to check on your program’s progress:
- Related data points are grouped together. Volumes for completed laboratory tests and completed patient cases are listed right above the overall percentage rate.
- Donut charts and progress bars help you visualize whether the program is on track. The Treatments Completed bar shows how the treatment volume compares to the Treatment Goal for the selected date range. The bar at the bottom always shows the current progress toward the annual goal.
- Color coding shows if your goals are being met. Green shows that the thresholds your program has set are being met. Red shows that they are not being met. In the case of the Prevalence of Anemia chart, green shows a prevalence of 35% or less, and red shows a prevalence greater than 35%.
We also have added HerCare Visits to the Quality Metrics section so that users with HerCare can check the status of patient data ingestion.
New User Email Preferences
To turn off patient assignment email notifications for a user:
- From the side navigation, choose the Users tab.
- From the Users list, click the name of the user.
- In the Email Preferences section, check the Notification Opt Out box.
- Click Save User.
Other Improvements
- You can filter the Patient Enroll report to see the Surgical, Non-surgical, and HerCare populations. Previously, surgical data and non-surgical data were in separate reports. Now, all of this data and the HerCare data are in one place. Just open the Reports tab; choose the Patient Enroll report; and select Surgical, Non-surgical, or HerCare from the new Select Workflow Type list.
